***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Shavon! I hope you can get back to 100% health soon and stay that way!

I've been working on the garden to get it ready for spring, too....hope it does some good this year!

(I'll go out in the 110' days and work in the garden no problem, just hose myself down every 30 minutes or so (when I dry off) but I don't do cold weather.

We are alot alike. I don't like cold at all & can always manage to cool down in the summer but can't stay warm in the winter. Horses knocked over my gate on the garden so I think I may fix that up this evening. Still haven't got anything else done.

And yes-take all the snow you want. If we don't get some 90 degree weather soon I'm going to turn into an iceball. I was out every day last summer when it was over 110, I think I was a lizard in another life. But if it gets below 70 I have to wear a coat.
Robin, once the wandering/digging out/lifting their leg/fighting with other males/what have you starts then seldom does neutering have any effect. If you neuter them before any of those behaviors start then you have a good chance of not having to deal with it in the 1st place. I have those suckers sliced off before they're 4 months old

I sure wish I could neuter my chickens, too. Although a 5' fence and a hot wire is what keeps mine in. I think folks without fences just happen to get really lucky when their dog sticks around (or comes back). I've always been convinced that if mine step 1 foot out the gate they'd immediately get run over. That'd be my luck.
Beth, I hope Chicken Larry's doing ok. I still think about him every day. I SUCK at giving chickens away

The new companies Gary has inspections for all had new contracts starting in Jan, and it is looking very promising,

if it keeps up w/ this first week it looks like he will be able to make one full time job out of 3 part time jobs.

Which brings me to this he will be making a trip to OKC this week, so anyone needing chicken transport?

Lucie has three fully fluffed chicks and two that are zipping now.
The other two eggs are arrested development.
One of the dead chick has what appears to be four feet! It died in shell about a week ago....weird!For educational puroses, I'll post a labeled photo. There are four feet, two wings, two tails, one head. Could be siamese twin? or mutated cell formation? ....any Ideas?
