I had a bunch of laying hens once that I only wanted egg production from and they started going broody so I ran out of cages to break them up real quick, and an old farmer told me to feed them crushed red pepper and they won't sit and go broody, I added it to their feed a few times and never had another broody in two seasons out of close to 100 hens we had RR Reds, BR, and Dominques all are prone to be good broodies so I would say first take a look at if your using red pepper to worm them with it may be having the same effect as it did for me, It may be an old home remidy or wives tale but I swear by how well it worked for me LOL

I have been gone all day and took awhile to catch up. I saw this and figured by time I got caught up I would see where they were already taken. But lo and behold didnt see any no such thing. I been looking for chicken dogs for some time. Had a pup, didnt work out. I would sure be interested in one or two of them suckers. I also been meaning to holler at you to ask if I could come down and look at your chicken tractors you got here while back. I may have located a cotton trailor and was wanting to get some ideas from yours. call me sometime and we can talk about dogs. 580-919-7691
