***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Just left NEOCS, wanted to stay but it was too hot for the birds in the car. I got THE most beautiful Araucana trio from Joe plus 3 of their chicks. He *gave me a gorgeous rumpless & double-tufted 5 wk old pullet just because he's a great guy. Thank you so much, Joe.
I also could NOT go home without the Brown Red LF Cochin pair from Terrapin Station Ranch. We have posts already set and all the fencing for four 50x50 yards, I'm real thankful for that. I broke my 'no adults' rules but that's the reason for the separate yards. I went there specifically for the Araucana but seriously-who in their right mind passes up a huge Brown Red Cochin pair when they've looked all over for that color and can't find it?? All the ones I got are in excellent shape, not a mark on them and all just gorgeous.
Jim, I didnt see you! After we left my husband said he talked to you. Deanne, always nice to talk to you. Tracy, I hope you enjoy the Guineas. The 4 Chicks were adorable in their purple shirts lol! I'm definitely getting some Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana eggs from BFrancis-I saw some of his Wheaten pullets today and they're beautiful! I wanted so bad to talk to Poco but she was so busy. I couldnt bear to have the birds sit in the car, even with the windows down it was hot.

Just got home from NEOCS it was cool meeting several of you. Thanks Joe and Cowboy I love all my new chickies.

And Joe gave Poco the eggs to set for me. I took pics of people and birds, I'll post some later. Cowboy that blue one sure is a Prima Donna!!!!!

the 4 chicks were carrying all their stuff all the way thru the barn, i told them they could park right across from their spot and unload a little easier. mabey it was because they were almost finished that they went ahead and finished where they were!

and a kass, i tried to say hi but you and sooner and coral were gonna hurt me, so i ran off instead!

We made it to NEOCS a lil after 8 and looked around for awhile, talked to a few people. I mentioned BYC a few times hoping I would meet some of you. No Luck! And if I did meet someone from here, I didn't know it.

It was smaller than I had thought it would be. ( which means nothing, this was my first chicken meet/swap) BUT I really enjoyed myself. As I have mentioned before we have all bantams, and want it to remain that way. Guess who fell in LOVE with the standard cochins, "BIGG-UN" !!!! Go figure. . . . . they were beautiful. We did end up getting two new girls, even though I had been told NO-MORE before we left the house.

Ha ha!!! Thanks everyone for the invite!!!! I cant wait for another round up, how often do ya'll get together??
