I was at RiverChest auction in Harrah this evening. It was very toasty to say the least. I sold a few hens and a Malay/Game cross rooster. Thanks MJ for setting the pace and buying the big hen. She was the last of my non game breeds except for the NN's. It was nice meeting some new folks. Mommapoppabee and Gunmama. Also got to see Joe and MJ, Jack and EllieMae. Birds were pretty cheap but I got a fair price on all of mine considering the heat ans the market right now.

You might call Lee's feed store on 11th and see if they have any. I got my Polish there. They had quite a few varieties but this was a couple months ago. I like them better than going somewhere like Atwoods, they were knoweldgable.

Also, this is a tiny little place, they aren't a big chain like Atwoods. I don't recall exactly where they are at but I got off by the Hard Rock Casino, so I'd say around 11th and 193rd.
Yes Lees Feed is on 11th St just west of 193rd E Ave, that is my neck of the woods! :) We are Tulsa address but Catoosa schools, right in between them really. I don't know if they still have chicks, I would guess not, but it doesn't hurt to give them a call. They are a nice place with very knowledgeable people, they also have seed still for whomever it was looking for seed.

Waiting on another phone call. Roger's Mom was taken to hospital fora low heart rate. They are running tests but will most likely keep her. She is 88.

Have two in the incubator that have hatched and waiting on more to pip..

Got the call. They will keep MIL in ICU. Virginia's potassium level is too high...life threatening. They want to run more tests but she needs rest. They gave her meds for the nausea she was feeling.
Please keep ths wonderful lady in your prayers.

Good morning friends and neighbors! It looks like rain, there is a little thunder storm moving in from the East....I need to mow but we need the rain badly!

Hope y`all have a great weekend!

Kass, Hope you are feeling better soon.

By 5 this morning Virginia's potassium levels were coming down a little. They don't know what is causing it yet. She is diabetic and has only one kidney. Dr may try dialysis. We're getting our chores done as quickly as we can to go up to see her.

Total of three in the incubator this morning....two of the Blue Columbian and one Columbian so far. They are sure feisty.

Thanks nnbreeder, jen hens and lonnyandrinda. I have no idea of that store. It says open at 9 so I will wait a little bit to call. In any case one of the adds in craiglist that reply seems to have baby chicks. I candled again the only two eggs that my hen has and I am getting optimist of one. Took a pick this morning but nothing yet.
Hands down, people of Oklahoma are friendly!

Breakfast we had a melon & cantaloupe that we picked this AM. I mowed down most of my early melon vines. We have already picked them clean & I didn't see any sign of new melons starting. This wk I boiled 9 dz eggs & put some of them in recycled pickle juice. The other eggs went into an empty green olive jar. The kids say the olive flavored are the best. They finished off the jar for breakfast. Guess it is time to boil some more guinea eggs!

Nana prayers for your MIL.
