***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I was all hyped up for my hatch today but I think all my babies in the incubator did not make it thru the pulled plug Saturday. They were in lock down and hatch day was supposed to be today....no activity in the eggs. I will leave them until tomorrow just in case.

Don't give up so soon. Sometimes when they get cold, their developement stops till they warm up again. I've had eggs that were left cold for one reason or another that would hatch a day (or even two days) late.

Anyone know of a mobile processor or anyone close to Durant that would be willing to show me how to process my chickens?
I've read the books, watched the videos and attempted to do it myself on an aggressive rooster but it didn't workout to well. So I'm hoping that someone can teach me or know of someone that can do it for me. Willing to pay a fee but can't afford a lot.

Good morning! :) It`s the start of beautiful day here in NE Oklahoma! I `ve already been down and feed and watered the little birds. I finished the remaining two nest boxes, so there is a nest box in each pen. I hope y`all have a great day!

Thank you everyone for the hugs! Means a bunch! Glad theres other people out there that understand my feeling for my chickens! Ksane, the little splash boy (or as my son calls him "pretty boy") is doing just fine!!! He is the most talkative bird ever! and my son loves it! Pretty boy will actually follow him around and theyll talk to each other as they are playing outside! I finally let him with the big chickens, and they are all getting along just fine! Thank you so much for him! Hes a beauty!

Well that certainly makes me feel better! The whole Araucana hatch is chatty like that :)

I was feeling soooo relieved after bombing our house with insect/spider bombs YESTERDAY to get rid of the brown recluse spiders. I didn't have Raid bombs, as I used what Atwoods carried and thought they would do the trick.

Today when I got home from a meeting and sat down in my chair in the living room, a very small, very active spider walked across the lampshade next to me. Now I no longer feel any relief at all in spite of all the preparation and the actual bombing.

Finally finished one of today's (and yesterday's project) I didn't finish it yesterday b/c I had to go take a big couple of hour test. Here it is finished.

Sorry for the blurr, I may have made the file size a tad to small. My niece has a newborn and a 2 yo and this rocking chair had no padding and was VERY uncomfortable, so I made these two coushions for her. Gary found 3.5 inch foam at a garage sale for just $5. I made permanent coushion covers (under this fabric you can't see them) just to protect the foam, then made these cases so they can be easily removed for cleaning. Her nursery decor is jungle animals so I was trying to find something that would fit in, but not be to obnoxious if she wanted to use it in a diff room. The fabric isn't really upholstery grade or weight so I just doubled it.

can someone tell me when newcastle sale is.

Newcastle is 1st & 3rd Saturday.

Kass the cushions came out nice, may want to spray them with stain guard & give her some unseasoned meat tendorizor. It can be sprinkled on baby spit up to break the proteins down to prevent stains.

Had part of a large tree come down on the fence line. The wind is brutal today.
