Sorry about your silkieWe lost our silkie hen today. She passed an egg & her organs as well. I have had a guinea hen do the same once but I believe it was her first egg ever. The silkie hen has laid many eggs & raised lots of babies so I was surprised. Poor Taron was sad because the silkie is the only one we had & such a good momma so of course she is a favorite! Not sure if we will look for another silkie. We have been trying to consolidate birds & the silkie hen was considered "high maintance". She liked having her own space & didn't intermingle with others ---except her babies of course. Always sad to loose a bird with such personality.

Oh I am so sorry! If she wants eggs let me know. Kurt's silkies he got at POOPS are laying now so we could always get her some eggs when she is ready to have another one.We lost our silkie hen today.
