***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Pretty birds! from so many who have posted.
A few of mine are in serious molt and the yard looks like a pillow exploded.

YThe Bantams are beginning to lay and I've been collecting eggs to go in the incubator...d'Anvers, OEGB, and Rosecombs.  The F1 from the Blue/CWs are laying also.  I need to make a pen for the Aussie/Cochin breeding project to get some eggs for hatching

Loving the cooler temperatures.  Dug the rest of the sweet potatoes...a total of 2 bushel from a 4 x 16 root raised bed...not bad.

Hope everyone has a great day.

The Rosecombs are starting lay? That is great, I'm waiting on my Birchen Rosecombs to get started wont be long I'm sure. That is one I am truly looking forward to. How did the Buff Columbians come out?

I have a gorgeous BC pullet and the little blue BC roo is still growing. His little blue buff pullet died a month ago but he is with the Spangled OEGB pullet and the Opal pullet for now. I got an egg from their pen today. The Buff Columbian pullet outweighs him and likes to beat up on him so I ,thought I'd give him some time to mature before I paired them.
The Rosecomb started laying last month...laid three and then quit until now.
I bet the Birchen are gorgeous.

DH's co-worker has a deer stand, feeder and trail camera near Edmond.

Roger's jaw dropped on that picture! Those are young cougars on the prowl...probably smelling the deer that have visited the feeder. Has he photoed them since September? I bet the Wildlife Dept would like to see that photo...no denying that kind of proof.

Hi all, hope we get some more rain tomorrow, we can use it, been experimenting with my pullets this year, we have been turning them out during the day, they love it and finally have learned to lay mostly in the nest in the house they have, they go in good at night and so far no complaints from the church goers next door about chickens over there or on cars!!! LOL Any ways, I found a few funnies i wanted to share!!! Enjoy!!! Lynn

And here is one for the DADS!!!

Have a great day!!! Lynn

gorgeous cougars! but i sure don't want them poking around here!

here is a question for ya- my roo galahad fathered this little guy- mama is half orp, half ee, so this one is 3/4 ee if that is possible- anyway- i got galahad from coral, he was suposed to be ameracauna(sp?), but she figured out he was EE, sooo... is there such a thing as a rumpless ee??

he is 6 weeks old

I would think w/ rumpless there would need to be some araucana in the line somewhere, which is also an EE araucana mixed w/ something else.
