***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Grace's babies started hatching this morning. They're two days late. Do you think it's because of the cold spell we had this weekend?

Cute pic.....Congrats on the hatch!

FUNNY I HAD THE PEAFOWL IN WITH MY CHICKENS FOR ONE NIGHT THE CHICKENS WERENT VERY NICE TO THEM NOW THAT THEY HAVE THIER OWN LITTLE HOME THEY ACT LIKE THEY WANT BACK IN WITH THE CHICKENS GO FIGURE

I JUST ACQUIRED THESE PEAFOWL,INDIA BLUES 5 MONTHS MY HUSBAND WAS SO EXCITED

WHEN I GOT THIS BOY HE WAS ABOUT 4 WEEKS OLD, I WAS TOLD HE WAS WHAT THEY CALL A CINNAMON? I THINK HE IS RHODE ISLAND?

NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF HEN SHE IS WE HATCHED HER IN APRIL

THIS IS MY SON SEAN AND LIL' BIT HIS FAVORITE ROO AND MASTER OF THE COOP

A FEW OF MY FEATHERED FRIENDS

That`s some nice pens and a good looking flock of birds......also a great pic of your son and his friend!

Lovinchicks, those are some seriously nice yards your birds have! Love them! Your son looks like my boys, always a chicken in their arms. I never thought about having chickens let alone a rooster for a pet but they do make great pets for kids. If your son's little roo is like Nathanael's he is spoiled rotten lol.

Will she have any Buffs? We lost her mother a few weeks ago

so we are looking for another Bantam Buff Cochin pullet.
Joe, DH, is so happy that his bird's babies have such a good home.

I moved my LF Buff Cochin pair to the pen next to Joe's Bantam Buffs. You should have seen the two roosters meet for the first time! Joe's little roo, Moonpie - the father of your Buffs, is our smallest rooster but he also is the one that crows first and the most. My LF roo doesn't crow very often but crows the longest.

MJ, I have eggs from the pair I got from you incubating right now. You want some chicks?

A few pics from today

Looks like a sack of couch potatoes to me.

Bambam, stalking in the future bamboo forest! lol Elwood that is your bamboo

Can't even groom in peace!

Farrah's beautiful neck wings are molting, really hope she gets them back

Leppy Q is the biggest EE girl we have

Of course if I have the camera out a pic or two of Ari is a must

Great photos! Those are some unique chickens!

Yea, Bill! Glad to see you :)))
Has anyone heard about any bad weather Saturday in the eastern 1/2 of the state?

That one is the back is truuuullllly awesome! I love that bird! Your EE's are so cool looking!
I have 2 Faverolles/Orloff mixes that both happen to be boys, look at that beard :) Every single one of the 4 we've hatched out of my older Faverolles are boys. Not sure I want to hatch any more from him lol But his temperament is so wonderful and that seems to have been passed on to his sons.

I had not heard about the bad weather headed our way. Thanks! And great pic of a pretty bird! :)
Haven't been on in a few days. Had to get the greenhouse built before the freeze and then I got a virus of some kind that laid me out for two days. Brain is still fried. Everything in the incubator is fertile and growing except the turkey eggs. We're on day 14!! We've never got this far with an incubation before with all the eggs fertile and still growing. Of course my daughter added two eggs on Saturday - double yolked duck eggs to see what they would do and they both have twin ducks growing. Here's a pic of one of them. It's not a great pic because we can see blood vessels forming already and the embryos moving. Does anyone know if they can actually hatch with two babies and both of them live?

Wow! I haven't seen this before! how neat.

Good morning friends and neighbors! The little rascals have been fed, watered and handled and I`m caught up on chores so I think I will kick back and take it easy today! I hope y`all have a good `n! :)
