Hmm, movin bees.... well, I'm allergic, no idea how to do that - or where to - plus, they are in a wooded area of one of my pastures and if I 'have' them moved, I wont have them anymore. So, there you go...just plain selfish :)! Hopefully, we wont have too many more flooding rains - the last one broke their log in two and put the hive hole in a more exposed area.

Why is it so hard to get them going and when they plant them selves they come up like weeds. I planted them about 5 years ago and now I can't get rid of them.
i don't know maybe they just don't like me, or the seeds i got are not good

hi guys, playing catch-up again! a pic of dragons babies- they are funny little bugs- and for some reason all the cochin chicks that have hatched are talkers... the little nn chick does have feathered feet-

I have almost equal green eggs (EE moms) and brown eggs (nn moms) and a few white eggs (nn moms) it is odd that all the pipping is going on in the green eggs, no brown egg and only one white one is pipping.

You know, that's funny I have a breed that is always first hatchers (actually my EEs!) and a breed that are always the last to hatch (Isbars)! Wonder why that is! It has been this way for several months, with weekly hatches. Didn't notice a pattern last year but I wasn't hatching as much last year.

My EE always hatch before my RIR. Use to think it had to do with tray placement in my cabinet. But tested swapping locations & still EE hatch first.

This wk Taron hatched 100+ games for a guy & they hatched quick! Seem like once they pipped they were out (similar to guineas). Speaking of guineas, they will be hatching soon. Most of the first few hatches are already sold until early June. We are averaging 14-18 eggs a day.

Robin love that blue chick!!!

Welcome KHaws glad you stopped by!

We ended up having some hail last night...fortunately not too big...about quarter size. Sheesh it makes a racket on the roof. It seems as though we were spared damage...we are so blessed! I can only imagine how loud it was in the barn and coops with metal roofs. Ay carrumba! This cold had the birds confused though. When I let them out this morning they looked like a 20 car pile up. As they ran down the ramp to their yard they simultaneously hit the brakes and had a skidding wreck. You could practically hear them saying 'what the heck?' about the cold...funny.
