To bad about your bird being a roo im sure some one would love to have him. I have a few egg's from my sil.polish u could hav if u wont to hatch more
Thank you Michael, but I don't have equipment to hatch eggs - no incubator and none of my hens are the broody type. If you happen to come across some SL Polish hens, though, be sure to let me know. I'd love to have one!
Here is a pic of where his pens were. the triangular one was untouched, my Orps. were in one butted up to the left side of it. on the right of it you may be able to see his nesting box still standing upon the debris. Three hens in unscathed as were the Orps. even though that pen was thrown up against a pickup 30 ft. away.
The nesting box looks like a bench behind the two boards that are angled up to the left.

Instead she suggested soaking the foot for 5 minutes a day in Tricide-Neo powder for FISH. She warned my friend to be careful as to not get the solution on herself. I have no idea as to why. Anyway to make a long story short after about a week of soaks the bird no longer has bumblefoot and never had to be cut open. The vet mentioned that they had been using this for sometime and were having great results with it.
That is a pretty duck! Our next place WILL have a pond!

Wow, what a sight! Hope things are coming along getting things back in order. I can't imagine anything coming out of that unharmed, but so glad you and your birds are OK. My thoughts are with you.

I know CayuseRanch is looking for a Polish roo -?
I sold one of my 5 mo. old Mille Fleur Cochin pullets and kept her sister who sleeps on the roost all by herself now. Makes me feel terrible now when I see her.
