***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hi all. I'm going to try to post again, since I've been able to PM and sometimes answer on facebook. I just won't try to do the multi quotes since that's when it's been quitting. I was going to take it in today, but need to wait until next week now. Forgot my youngest daughter's birthday, and the blankety blnk mini got into the feed again, even after putting a lock on the door that didn't take him long to figure out. He dumped most of the barrels , pawed them into the ground and he and the donkey had a feast. It's a wonder they didn't founder, but I alway give a tranquilizer, butte and banamine right awy. The tranq slows the gut down and of course the butte and banamine reduce inflamation. It has to be done several times to be effective and the tranquilizer is the most important. Or I should say they all are, but the gut definately needs to be slowed down. I keep saying I'm going to sell him or trade him for a jenny, but my granddaughter(although she has outgrown him) says grandma, we have to keep RollyPony.

He cost me more in chicken feed than it does to feed another horse. I spread it around and let them scratch it for days, but I still like to feed them their regular meals. This makes three times this month. I guess he's smarter than me. Not hard. I think we got him now though.

because it's been so long since I've been able to post. and i should hurry up. My son told me a way to work it until it gets reprogrammed. I'm venting now and will be really p......if if crashes now. I bought a few showgirls and a silkie. One of the showgirls i supposed to be 3 months but is really tiny, but I'm going to post some pics on here and see if anyone knows if it's male or female. It is the most loving, sweetest thing ever. I'll be disa pointed if it's a roo. I'll either have to beg someone to caponize it, or give it to one of the kids on here to love it. The other three are 8 or 9 months and laying. They haven't layed for me yet. I guess they don't like being in quarantine. I did get them from an NPIP person and mine were just recertified in June, but still don't want to take any chances.
I just tried to upload photos, and it didn't work. Before it crashes and I lose this I'm going to send it and try again with the photos.

Ok I'm going to try this again. Is Teri (Tery Dactal) Hubby named her or him. A girl or boy?

I have better ones but can't get them to down load. I ment to put these on small, since u can click for the larger image.

Streamers, as in long saddle feathers? Show me where u see the streamers. I'll try again in a bit to send better ones. It crashed on me and i just got back up. As loving as this little one is, it really needs a kid, if it's a boy. I don't know if Rinda's boy still haven't replaced her little boys bird. Arlo still has a pet right?@lonnyandrinda

@artsyrobin I'm not doing multiple quotes until I I know I won't get mad if it crashes. It's just hard this way, because I can't remember everyones name, I want to answer. Anyway, last time I saw your mystery chick I thought she was a female, and since she isn't pure, her top crest might not get poofy like a purebred, but the legs and beak screamed girl. But on Pollish and silkies, I don't know what I'm doing yet. I like the way Miohippus showed the difference in the pics. I'm really loving Velvet(you picked a perfect name) and am hoping she will learn to eat soon, because it she doesn't, I will be too bonded, which I'm afraid I 'm already getting. Hoping to see you Thursday on my next Dr. appt. Do you know the people at Hodge Podge Poultry ther in Muskogee? They have some polish juvies for sale. I was hoping you know them and could go w/ me.

I've been trying to find a good picture of streamers to upload but I'm on the mobile ap and I am having alot of trouble. So basically, streamers are like longer wisps of feathers that go out from the crest. So instead of a uniform "poof" there will be longer feathers sticking out. Theres probabky a better way to explain this i just cant think of it! And like I said I don't know if streamers even apply to showgirls.
And I sure wish we had a shortage of silkie boys here, but Arlo and I are already trying to determine our favorites and plan from there.

We have to bailing wire the gates shut for our horse. If he can reach it with his nose, he can open it. Or, we've use lead rope clips (the kinds you have to push out with your thumb to open the clip) on metal chains. Easy to open for a human, but without oposable thumbs, the horses can't get through. (We have these on the pasture gates.)
And those buff showgirls are my favorites!

I don't really buy into that way of thinking, though, because the ones who ascribe to it all seem to have that "living" thing in common. We can't exactly ask the animals we kill if they think it's in their best interest. I don't believe in making a determination based on my convenience, then pretending it's for the best of the animal. If I'm incapable of giving the care they need, and I make the determination to kill them over it, I believe in at least being honest about it. If you're going to kill a creature because it doesn't conform to your expectations, don't blame it on the animal.
