***OKIES in the BYC III ***

How are they doing with the place I was told evergreen had sold out and would be out of production and halt all sales as of Aug. 1. I am hoping a few places stocked up if not that will hurt alot of small feed suppliers. I have no idea what that will do to the economy out in elreno I am sure it will hurt many families.

I don't either, how is the A&M feed? Is it comperable to the Formula 73? S&S has access to a real good feed but would have to buy it by the ton or they wont order it for me. Thier 15% isn't bad its actually a good feed but the 17% from teh same supplier is outstanding.. We tried it the birds ate 1/2 as much and laid twice as much, then S&S drug thier feet at getting it for me. So I've been using formula 73 for quite a while.

we have been using the 20% Formula 73 for the bantams and the S&S 15% for teh big birds, the S&S chick feed is outstanding.
I have so many young birds that I need to raise out I'm seriously considering allowing a few youngsters to roam the yard and putting out sweet feed.

Michael is that one of those buff orp games!lol He looks like he is proud of himself!

Nana wish I was close, those golden wyandottes are beautiful! and a great price. I bet they were snatched up fast!

I goofed up and left the feed door open on my parakeet cage last night and two of my young hens flew the coop. One just came back but when I got close it took off again! Dang now I have two extra males and one mated pair. Looks like parakeets going to the auctuion tomorrow! I'm about to run out of anything else to take. I really need to buy and stock up but with my new $1800 transmission I proably won't be doing a lot of buying for a while!

I have fed sweet feed to my birds in the past - the kind that has grains mixed with pellets. They eat the grains and decline to eat the pellets, where I suspect most of the protein comes from.
