Finished my fusion afghan from the summer swap just in time to work on the fall squares.


The crocheted side w/ all borders on.


The quilted side complete.

Yes, when I have cereal it is one of the chex gluten free line, the chocolate and cinnimon are my favorites.

i love the chocolate one but i can't get it around here my wal- mart dosen't carry it for some reason lol my mom has to bring it to me.

I am not much of a breakfast eater so I usually have it as dessert or snack.

How does 11:30 am sound for meeting for lunch at the Mexican restaurant on Saturday? Beat the noon crowd.
Last year we just met and they pulled tables together for us. The meeting room was booked. It is again this year.
Don't know how the judging schedule is set so hoping everyone can meet for lunch.

That just answered the question I was about to ask. Judging will be an all day event, there are only 5 judges for the show and one possible addition. Look me up when you get there or call, no telling where I will be. Lunch has always been a great event to sit and chat and catch up.

How are your hens doing with egg laying in OK. My orphingtons are about to quit. The short days are really slowing things down. I'm putting in some lights that come on at 0500 and hope to have them pick up the egg count. I was wondering if any of my fellow OKIES have had any luck with suplemental lighting or if there is another trick out there.

Suplemental lighting is great for the birds and winter breeding, been doing it for years. Here is what I have learned.
Set you timer to come on in the morning and go off 1/2 hr past sunrise. Keep them on a 12 hr light schedule, so that when natural light exceeds that they will tansition well. This also helps reduce the opportunity for a spring molt in the winter due to light hr extensions. as light hrs naturally extend decrease your timer setting to keep up, do not stop abruptly. Make sure your timer works correctly if there is light at night some will not roost and may stress easily.

I wasn't planning on anything more, if it needs it I'll do the same "quilting" stitch through the borders (crocheted and fabric) that I did through the rest of the blanket w/ yarn.
