34 eggs in went into lockdown yesterday!!!!! Baby chicks should be here Sunday!!!!!!!

Morning everyone, the little chick looks a bit happier, could it be he just wasn't staying warm enough with mama?

dragons babies are pipping- did i tell you she went missing, then showed up the next day for food, kept her in that nite and followed her, she had stashed 9 eggs in the barn, i pulled all but two and put her rin a broody cage... silly thing

Nana I think you deserve a small greenhouse or hoop house. I hate shuffling seedlings around.
The weather has really set back this yrs garden & building our house. The work crew is framing now, but I am not sure they will get it dried in before the next rain.

Who will be at Newcastle this wk? We are coming, bringing my sisters kids too. This will be my last auction before I get NPIP certification. I have held off for the past couple yrs, since I didn't want to limit my bird selection. But the desire to ship eggs has convinced us to get tested.

I went ahead and ordered my Silkies before my Barred Rocks arrive since they are considerably smaller hoping they will be easy to integrate.. I'm already chicken crazy! Lol

I only have 4 hens in the breeding pen but I do have some young pullets.
Have you thought about a Birchen project for your rooster?

What to birchen genetics throw in offspring???? Asking b/c Jaxom one of my potential chickie daddies is birchen.

I'll be there after work so i should get there before 9:00.
BFrancis is coming but Kisa won't be coming with him. She is going to some really neat Garden and Herb show in Tulsa. I will have to go to that next year - herabalaffairandfestival.com

hey guys, i was wondering - is it normal to have loud mouth chick? emily's little hatching is constantly chirping- wondered if she is just opinionated or uncomfortable

The first thing I thought of was, ................ well is it one of dragon's eggs, the acorn and the tree and all. lol
