***OKIES in the BYC III ***

I found this on the internet, so it must be true:

Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon

  • Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is a parlor game based on the "six degrees of separation" concept, which posits that any two people on Earth are six or fewer acquaintance links apart. That idea eventually morphed into this parlor game, wherein movie buffs challenge each other to find the shortest path between an arbitrary actor and venerated Hollywood character actor Kevin Bacon. It rests on the assumption that any individual involved in the Hollywood, California, film industry can be linked through his or her film roles to Kevin Bacon within six steps. The game requires a group of players to try to connect any such individual to Kevin Bacon as quickly as possible and in as few links as possible. It can also be described as a trivia game based on the concept of the small world phenomenon. In 2007, Bacon started a charitable organization named SixDegrees.org.
My idea about "Kevin Bacon" was close.. I know I have heard this before.. It is funny though, and I have always been a sucker for word play, it is sweet...

So no school today because it is only 3 degrees above Kevin and there is snow... Thank goodness, I woke up with a horrible headache.. Is anyone having trouble with their sinuses???
If anybody has to go out in this mess, please dress warm it is numbing cold out there.... Be warm and be safe!!

Yea and their names and Byc Okies
dose my dog look like a Anatolian/Pyrenees mix?

im really sure she is part GP but i don't know what the other part is.
I would guess Pyrenees and Lab but that's just a guess. I miss my Pyrenees soooo bad. Their long and low sounding 'booof'. Now I just have a bunch of chicken-killing seniors that I can't trust with the birds for a split second.

I got the Kevin Bacon thing, I think it was Poco that started it a few wks back. This is bone cold, sick of it. I moved here from Iowa 32 yrs ago and I've never forgotten how cold it got up there. It's taken it all these yrs but the frigid cold finally found me. I feel so horrible for my birds! They won't come out of their buildings and coops but it's STILL 12 degrees inside of there! My Chihuahua has her sweatshirt on and she still won't come out from under her blanket lol

Oh yes, still dealing with congestion since a scratchy throat 2 weeks ago, Even woke up VERY dizzy Monday. Inner ear conjestion had messed up my equalibrium. No ear pain though :)
This is the 5th time I have been on antibiotics since October. I really didn't want to take this perscription but the balance problem changed my mind.

My white Frizzle Cochin boy has this exact expression on his face lol
"Who let the penguins out?!"
Dang it - I have been able to resist frizzles until now - That girl is so cute.
I am such a fan of hens that have unstoppable determination though they have no brute strength. Our little girl cat, that we lost last October, was like that. We nicknamed her Mighty Mite. Once, with out hesitation, she took on a 80lb. husky that we fighting her dog. Outcome - Shuggy 1, husky 0 and our dog was unharmed. The husky, that had killed a cat the week before, had the only injuries; bald spots on top of his head.
I think 'Moxie" might be the word for these little fighters. Their confidence is unquestionable. The stinky-eye comes out so fast you immediately feel fear and don't stop to think "wait a minute, this critter is tiny".

I'm only 3 degrees away! Me, my cousin who worked with Jamie Le Curtis and then Kevin! Actually it's not very thrilling.

UGH the boss thinks I should drive in this...Mostly I just think he doesn't want to close!!!

I work in the neighboring town, about 15 min drive. My feeling is that I'[m not paid quite enough to risk an accident and my 4WD isn't staying engaged...........Sorry I just wanted to vent LOL!

Just back in from feeding the livestock by dancing with the vehicles. My job was gate keeper and chauffeur. Hubby used the tractor with a bale of hay to clear a path for the cubes. Then I drove him to the feed truck so he could drop cubes for the herd. We would break ice then move all the equipment to the next pasture. All the cows and calves had a layer of ice and snow on their backs.

warning: here in central OK, the 2 inch snow covers a slick layer of ice. I slipped going to close a gate. Both feet out from under me, I landed on my hip and I hit my head on the car going down....was seeing stars for a while.

Going back out in a few minutes with jugs of hot water to top off the cups in the cages in the barn and take extra feed to all the feeders both inside and out. Have already watered the outside bird. Cleared a path to the water containers and dropped some scratch for them. They got their drinks and scratch and then disappeared back in their coops. Smart birds!

So everyone be careful and stay warm.
