***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Coral, so sorry to hear you're sick; get better soon!

Mitzi, that frizzle is a work of ART! He looks like a 50's Chevy truck with a flaming paintjob!

Okay, picture time! Time to play Guess the EE Gender! I still don't understand the patterns, but I have some guesses based on other traits.

I'm almost positive this is a boy. Look at those treetrunk legs.

This one, two pics, I believe is a boy, but I'm not sure. This is the one that got dog-chomped yesterday.

This one, two pics, I have slim hopes of being a girl, in spite of the coloration, but the legs are thicker than I think they should be.

This one, two pics, I actually have hopes of being a girl, albeit slim hopes.

I'm so SAD! Diana just drove away with Floyd. I know he had to go, but I can't help but feel like I just did something I'm going to regret for a long time. He was SUCH a good roo. God bless you Diana, for giving him a good home!

I totally understand! This is the thing - one can be very sad about saying goodbye to someone (something) else. That is completely separate from the motives behind selling/giving away that someone/something. So, several times... I have been very sad and crying and missing someone. The very same someone that I was responsible for getting rid of. It is bittersweet if you know that the someone will have a better/good home. It is anquishing when that someone is going to have their life end. Bottom line - it is totally ok to be sad!

Robin - I have been home sick with a stomach virus since Wednesday. I will not be going to work tomorrow as my fever returned around ten today. I may be able to bring your boys home Saturday or Sunday.

On a happier note: I put six dark, dark NN eggs into lockdown today. Keep your fingers crossed for a good hatch. I sure would like to have some NN chocolate egg layers to put in with Hercule.
OOOOHHH CHOCOLATE Naked Necks! How cool is that! Of course, no reason why not... since you can so easily breed that NN gene into any breed.

Robin, you hit the nail on the head. I was responsible, but it had to be done. I miss him, though. And Orlando sure isn't helping. I tossed down some grains so he could call the girls over, one of the girls started to scratch and he PECKED her! Floyd would have picked up each seed, arranged them on a plate, and served it up with a sprig of rosemary. grumblemumblegrump

Orlando is young and immature. Having great roo manners take time.

the girls seem to be settling in...LOL!

and sassy tangled with something last nite, any guesses??? the big dog chased something for quite awhile after this- the wounds are 4-5 inches apart

What sweet looking ducks. At first, I thought that the one was in a pot!

Poor Sassy! What a Good Dog. Without having a good look - could those be claw scratches and not bite marks? If a bite - a small one with close set teeth? Or maybe a larger mouth - but more of a side bite that the dog was able to pull away from? Hopefully she is up to date on rabies shots. Again.... Good Dog!
