***OKIES in the BYC III ***

OKC/Moore area. Will meet within 30 minutes of Moore.

Well drat. I would rehome her for you, but I'm north of Tulsa. There are a bunch of peeps in the OKC area, though.

@Ksane
   maybe you'd like her?? she is beautiful!

I think she just needs more time to adjust, it's only been a week. It takes chickens a couple months to settle in before you see what they're really like. Taming takes trust and she's not going to trust you yet.

My phone phone did something weird. This was supposed to be above with my other reply.....

if she hasn't been handled much, try giving her a bubble bath, blow dry, sometimes that helps them to learn you are ok.

Is this a bug problem and how do I cure it ? Some have bare spots on their bums.
Some one has already suggested an amorous rooster...also the heat and molting will give that appearance. Check for tiny mites as suggested. Treat if you find them.

Quote: x 2 have lost quite a few to coccidiosis this year. What are the symptoms your neighbor has found with his turkey flock?

Hey maybe I can take her in. I live just east of Bartlesville on the Washington/Nowata County line.

I seem to have been blessed with a hatch full of roosters. I have 3, possibly 4, blue double-laced barnevelder 3-week old cockerel chicks, FREE, I need to rehome. They were hatching eggs from Fisher's Rare Breed and Heritage Poultry so are good stock. One hatched with a bare bum but the feathers are filling in. They will be/produce good meat birds. I'm in south Broken Arrow, if you're interested please contact me.
