We just got back from visiting MIL, FIL, and extended family in OKC. While everyone talked, I worked on a hat for one of our granddaughters. I'm going to make a scarf to go with the mouse hat. GGF is carving a shelf-sitter mouse with similar features.

I heard a rumor that antibiotics will be going to perscription only- tylan la500 etc, anyone heard that?

Didn't realize there was a board for dislocated Okies!!! I've been in NC since 1959 but have never lost the Oklahoma sand from between my toes! LOL My only family relatives are still there....sure do miss them. Nash county is where my dh and both grown kids were born so here I'm staying!! Have had 4 chickens for about 18 mo..1 dark brahma, 2 RIR, 1 GLW.... have enjoyed the so much I built another coop a bit larger.(chicken math you know!). 2 EE, 4 BSL, 3 RSL.. EE started laying in mid-Sept and the rest are just begun laying. If you look under "coops" on page 5 or 6 I think, you can find the story of the Chickadee Club. Its the one I built.. If you go to my profile, you can also see picts of my first coop. I did not build it but I helped get it set up my way..... So very glad to hear from other Okies...!!

I have almost sold all my show rabbits ( only a few jersey woolies left). I am going to start taking down the cages and selling them. Anyone know of some auctions I can take them too that are soon? The next blanchard auction is Dec 13th

More symptoms of your friend's bird would be helpful....
Yes. At the first sign of any out of ordinary slow breathing, 250mg amoxicillin gelcap once a day for 2 days. If it is something in the early stages it should quickly get a response. Next course for me to use is 1/4 B 12 tablet (about 250 mcg) for 3 days along with Polyvisol no iron and either Denagard or Gallimycin in the water.

I don't know if the rumor is true, but a committee has been set up in various countris, including ours. I'm not good w/ links, but I'll try to download this for you. It's in the World Poultry magazine. I was trying to find it, but someone just called to come get a pup. I'll find it for u.
