***OKIES in the BYC III ***

We had the luxury of being able to buy enough land to have the wide open spaces....wish the house was further back from the road at times. Someone bought the 80 acreas across the road from us and purposefully built their home toward the back of the property. Winter snows make them regret that decision.....can't have it both ways.....

NN just gave great info for treating infection (bumblefoot).
Ichthammol won't help with that kind of infection.

yes, i have his info- he did mention sugar and iodine as a way to treat it too....growing up ichthamol was a 'miracle' cure...

My property is in the back corner of an edition. I'm 3/4 mi from the main road, nothing behind me for over a mile. 1/2 mi. wibe pasture to the north of me. At least 3 people in the edition have chickens, but I haven't had the chance to meet the others with chickens.

We did make it home ok and have spent the afternoon and evening moving both birds and dogs around to have pen space. The newbies are happily in a 10 x 10 dog kennel that is covered by a tarp off of a bobtail truck.

I put two of our hens in the pen before I added the new birds and everyone got along just fine. The rooster danced and danced but the girls didn't pay him no mind. LOL

Matt thank you very much. A beautiful bird indeed.

well was gonna go outside earlier and watch the storm but the hail started about that time (didnt last long). Was a very noisy storm, sounded like it never quite thundering in the distance, may of been the tornado but i dunno. Pray for the poor people who lost there lives and there familys and of course the injured. Good nite everyone.

What is a tin horn and why did you put them in your creek?

when a bull loses one of it's horns, you make one out of sheetmetal so it will not develope an inferior(sp.) complex. I needed something as a filler so I would use less dirt.

A tinhorn is a pipe that is used in ditches in driveways also called a culvert pipe.
