***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Chickenberry - I had all four wisdom teeth out as a teen. It was awful. I felt miserable for two weeks. Make sure you lock up all the straws in your house. No straws. None. None, none, none. I was willful and thought the oral surgeon and his nurses were just being bossy, so after a week I used a straw and ended up with infections in both my upper and lower sutures. No straws!

On the up side, after eight weeks I was headache free and could eat just about anything I wanted. My wisdom teeth were actually special needs teeth... they were growing in horizontally instead of vertically, so they were crowding all my permanent teeth. That's what was causing the headaches. Neat thing, those x-rays. You can see all sorts of misbehavior even though it's under the gums. Here's a special wish for an uneventful extraction and quick recovery

Buster, glad you are alright! Be sure to get to the ER sometime today! LOL!

Nana thanks for the suggestion on the AFrame. I am looking at putting a stronger wire around the lower part of the frame & using slats of wood where it connects to the house part to keep it from being so easy to pull loose.

My yard looked like a storm had been through, I am amazed that they didn't kill anything this time. Needless to say some repairs have been done in the back yard so they shouldn't be able to get out again.

Thank you Poco... I will hide the straws for sure~ we don't want any infection! My daughter currently has braces that will be coming off the end of June. Her ortho saw her wisdom teeth coming in and said they had to go before the braces came off or they would come in and move all her teeth again. We couldn't let that happen after 2 years of braces and the expense! LOL...

I'm so glad that getting yours pulled helped with your headaches! I agree, it's amazing to see those x-rays!

Would you post a photo when you get them fixed the way you want them...so we can get ideas too.

I would have to say you might want pic's from Sjarvis as they are her design & I am thinking a better one. I might need to go look again myself.

click on the link for her website & you can see them. Mine aren't as nice.

Holy Cow everyOkie!! What's up with all these health issues and accidents and infections and teeth and snakes and dogfights??!!

Buster, a butterfly bandage (or a few) made from duct tape can hold a wound together until more important chicken-acquisition activities have been accomplished.

Jarvis - prayers for your sister - geez...I do hope they find a viable course of repair and that your sis recovers fully.

Chickenberry - prayers for your daughter.

Sooner - I'm writing the date down on a piece of paper where you said "I'll never have another dog" so when we're little old ladies carrying our little rhinestone-collared foo-foo dogs around I can wave it in your face.

Old*Cowboy?!! Are you okay?

I'm sure I missed someone - everyone be careful. I might go back to bed just to be safe.

I should never type before coffee, it should say that I will never have another of that breed. I will either have a Rot or herd type dog. I do plan to have a foo foo dog when my kids move out (if not before).

Okay Sooner - I am tearing up my little paper then...

edited to add: Glad you're posting - we were a little concerned! I'm sure you're busy as always.
