Don't have anything with bumblefoot, but have a question for In case.....Do you mix up the formula and keep it in a sealed container to re-use each day or do you make up a new batch each day? Do you follow the instructions for mixing on the package?
He's a chunk for sure...I have a dainty little hen with that feather pattern....she's got game looking legs.
Edited because I should catch up on all the posts before I respond....a red laced cornish....nice looking bird.

hi nana, it will keep for 5 days, so i mix a half gallon distilled water with a half tablespoon of the powder and keep it in a cool place, i use a coffee can with a lid and hold the girls in my lap and hold their feet together so they are standing in the water- 5 minutes twice a day, the bumble foot is slowly going away-

Okracefan and NoCityBoy....can't imagine how anything could survive that horrible tornado damage. Sorry to hear about the lumber. Wish there was more we could do besides commisserate.
Early bird catches the worm...off to do chores while it's still cool. Hubby has jury duty this week, so I'm going to start watering the garden.
These late night works on the bedroom are kicking me in the shins... Have lots to think about... woke up this morning and was thinking about all the babies we have in the nursery from POOPS that will need to be moved outta the cages and into pens so they can grow out properly with more space...
Have a few ideas of what I can do with some pallets and left over chicken wire.. Anyhow... I hope you all have a wonderful morning... The hubster is off work.... from work but I got work for him.. ha ha ha
I have been in the hospital again, it was a ruff May for me. I am having a bad time trying to hatch turkeys this year. First group was fair, last two a 25% hatch. I am using a bator and hatcher. Temp in bator 99.6, hatcher ( 96) changed to 98 second hatch. First group of bad hatch never made it out shell. I was in the hospital so not sure what went wrong. I didn't set the next batch but think the toms had been out to long and not sure they didn't get to hot. The day I came home from hospital the room was like a oven and the temp in bator was 102. Got another group coming out end of month. Will candle tonight. Here some of my thoughts
1. Eggs got to hot before set, he had them washed and in racks but setting in spare bathroom. Could eggs be to cold? Not my problem but was just a thought someone might have.
2. Temps off in bator and hatcher off
3. To high humidity or to dry in hatcher
Here what I am doing to see if it changes things.
Keeping eggs at 55 before setting
Add more toms with the girls
Temp in bator 100
Temp in hatcher 98
Buying to new temp gauges and the heat gun gauge and cross checking all.
Humidity in bator dry
in hatcher 70
Added a way to fill water dish from the out side
Can not figure out now I went from great hatches to such bad hatches. just from last year to this year.
O can still keep setting eggs until I figure out what going wrong or they stop laying. Ones that hatched are really healthy and my lose has been really low.
Doesn't make up for the 100 I am short for growing out but it to late to get more from any where. Got to have been hatched by the first of June to make them big enough to sell by Thanksgiving. Might could find some for the Christmas market. Setting 150 eggs and getting 30 babies is very upsetting so anyone that wants to jump in on this subject feel free to do it. I still getting about a dozen eggs a day so I can still try different things. I moved the bator and hatcher out of my bed room to the office on the South ended of trailer. They were on the North ended of the trailer last year. I am thinking I might add a small window unit to that room.
My other problem is two LGD that need a new home because they get my eggs. Great watch dogs just egg eaters.
