Speaking of goats, does anyone know of a pair of small goats for sale. I just need them for weeders, so they needn't be registered or even purebreds.

What kind of chickens, ducks and turkeys do you have? I have runner ducks and muskovey ducks and Narragansett turkeys. Like Monty/Buckguy, I would need to get rid of about 200 chickens of various ages in order to have only 4

Why on earth would you want to limit yourself to 4 chicken?

LOL. We thought 4 would be a good number to start with. Just enough eggs for our family and not overwhelming. Plus, the coop we are working on (all materials we already have) will fit 4. Just trying to decide on the breeds, I am thinking 4 is not enough, but we will continue to exercise self control for now We might have to work on expansion for next spring if all goes well.

:cd chickens are not adicting...if you want 4 I am sure you can stick to that...they will be lonely and cry alot

they are after all social animals and a roo loves a at least 5 hens nasty man.....

but I am sure if you want them to be social misfits they

can be kept to a smal flock of 4

......but hey

to the crazy house.....I only have about 50 or so right now.....as soon as it cools a bit and they start to lay it bit better I will fill up the bator and hatch off a fall crew for winter frying......

We started with a very small coop & 4 chickens in town. That is 1 chicken for each of us. Most weeks we were only using a dozen eggs & I personally don't even eat eggs! Within a year we now live on 20 acres & I cant count the chickens. I think 75 is a good guess. Plus a dozen guineas. And I am locking eggs down in the incubator every Monday! I started with a brinesea Eco & now have a sportsman. The brinesea is awesome but the darn thing was always full!
