Seemed like there were quite a few rabbits there and a lot of ducks, I saw at least one gosling I told Carla I saw turkeys back there and figured her and Gerald were there she said she didn't bring and didn't think there were any there I could have been wrong to long in the heat I mighta been seeing things LOL Thank you for the chickens Deanne I'll have more time to spend with them in the morning if I ever get to sleep tonight that is, I had meant to tell Teva when I saw her that I have sooo many Rats now those two female are great breeders and don't fuss too much when I clean out cages even with the babies, The only thing at the sale I'd like to have had was the 3 chainlink panels did anyone notice what they sold for?

I think they went for 80bucks

I hope that was for all three panels and not each LOL, Well for the buyer I'm sure the seller would prefer that was each

I don't see how anyone that started out here could end up there LOL. Just kidding. We still have green but is it quickly drying up, I hope we get some real rain soon. I keep waiting for the fires to start up around here.

Hey, what is wrong with here! We got trees and creeks. Its just that the water has a red tint to it. And we also have a poultry auction within driving distance almost every week. What I don't understand is why my grandparents moved from north of Muldrow to Okc years ago. Nicut Okla. makes Muskogee look like it is part of western okla. LOL

Hay nocity you no the Rusty guy i was talking about he was ther tonight an said him an his wife wer taking a trip to Muskogee after he told her how much i injoyd it down ther

I gave him a dog two years ago, the sister to my female, He lives 1 3/4 miles east of me on Countyline rd.

Is the festival the Azailia festival?

I might be headed that way, trying to get a float trip together.

Just got in from Blanchard. Had a good time and picked up some nice Bantam leghorns in white. And a dozen NN chicks. I bought one of those cages Michael spoke of and like he said, they went high. BUT it was still cheaper than I could make a 6 compartment cage built that nice. It was good to see everybody. If this heat dont break soon I am going to get depressed. I come home and lost 2 hens today. Had lots of shade and water. Both were dead on the nest. I am really getting to dislike this heat. Guy

This is truly wonderful, I can honestly say that's the nicest welcome I've gotten on any forum-thank you!

I appreciate the offer so very much. If none of my Cochin eggs hatch mid-week I'll certainly be taking a trip to Shawnee. I would definitely want all 7. Until I found this forum & read up on incubating I didn't realize how hard it was to get a good hatch from shipped eggs. Not to mention this is my very 1st try :-/

Kassaundra, thank you!

A Standard Cochin is what I'm looking for. They remind me of huge gorgeous pillows. I would be devastated if I were in your brother's shoes, how sad. We've got an 8' & multiple 6' aquariums (my Oscar fish!) 5 Barbado Sheep (2 are bottle-raised), a miniature horse & miniature Donkey plus a dozen senior house dogs & 4 old cats. Every time tornado season hits my heart stays in my throat worrying about all the critters here. We sit in a lucky spot, I believe. Because it goes just west of us every single time.

Tomorrow is lockdown and I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up. My grown daughter candled the eggs earlier tonight and saw tiny feet moving. She's got 10 Polish eggs in there & I've got 14 Cochin eggs. I hope so badly I get at least *1* Blue Cochin!

All of you really are wonderful, Elwood! Thank you thank you :)) My little 2 wk old Silkies are darling but what has taken me by surprise is how precious, sweet and cuddly these 3 baby Royal Palms are. Their house & run is in the making, too.
Thanks all of you!

LOL at NoCity! You do have all those things but it is hot down there! Yeah I think I know who you are talking about. The festival is the Azalea Festival, also in conjunction with the chili cook off. This year we had a late freeze & they weren't that pretty.

We add 1 fruit tree each year, that seems to work since you have to water them quite a bit for th efirst few months till the roots get set good. This year was Cherry, Might do Pear this fall.

Oh I had never thought of a cherry tree!!! That would be wonderful! I have to convince my Dh that we need to remove some of the tree's around our house so I have a place to plant one!!!
