Rural fire departments are awesome. One of the hose operators owns the roofing company that roofed our house. He's a volunteer fireman. Three counties collaborated to put out the blaze: Haskell, Boynton, and Muskogee. One of our trees did get run over. I'm more concerned for the firetruck than I am for the tree. Our trees are flagged to make them more visible, and they are staked with T-posts. One post is bent at the ground, so I hope the undercarriage of whatever hit it survived.
