No we're still here!lol. I just went to wake up MIL. Trying to keep her awake so she will sleep at night, So far its not working to well. She slept till m11:30 last night then was up and had every light in the house on,including our bedroom light! and every ceiling fan turned off and every plug she could find unplugged!

How are your turken bantams doing Sooner? I have about egight left,young birds and they all look pretty promising. Haven't decided about keeping them or not.

Okay I got cha now Nana. Always something to do on the farm isn't there? Wow thats something about the posion creek. Is there any way to kill out the algae? Maybe the soil conservation dept can help. Dry as it is I can see the cows trying to get to it. Thats a bad deal. Are you going to have fall cales or do you just do spring calving?

I've resigned my teaching position. I will be a stay-at-home farmer for the remainder of my working days. My grandmother picked beans and collected honey the week she passed away. She was 93. I hope to be as blessed.

That being said, I've got the time and the desire to milk goats. I'm fascinated with how cheeses are made. I'm going to learn as much as I can from reading and then I'll start hounding artisan cheese makers to give lessons.

Thats great PoCo! Now you will have a lot of time for all your farm hobbies. I bet they will be a lot less stressful to! WE will be anxiously waiting to here of the new adventures! I am really interested in the cheese making. Maybe you learn then teach us!lol.
103 out right now! keeps clouding up but I don't think its going to rain.

Went out to check on eggs and found another hen hatching. Looks like they are wyandottes. Those chicks are comming out in some neat down col,ors so I hope they feather out as neat and unusal as they are now.

Here is a quick pic of my "Little Family".....she weighs 8 oz., he is a whopping 10 oz. He is a great coach and gives lots of advice. Looks like she is working harder than he is.
