Not exactly. She messed with it while its nerves continuted to move & feel of the scales & such. AT one point she thought it was still alive & decided it's head need to come off to make sure.

Don't feel bad about kids playing w snakes sooner. My DD spent a good hour with the last bull snake we killed. She toted that thing around to by it's tail. Swung it in circles & even took it out to show the guys bailing the hay! Guy doing hay told her to hang it over the fence belly up to bring rain..... So of course she tried that too, then I finally made her dig a hole and burry the poor thing! I didn't want a smelly snake hanging on the fence for the next month while we waited for rain!
