***OKIES in the BYC III ***

So I might have gone off the deep end. I may be driving 3 hrs after work to pick up some faverolles :-/ so if anybody wants some let me know and I'll see if I can't bring some towards the city. I know there were one or two others on here thinking about them.

Monty they announced last night that they can not rent the fair grounds to hold auctions in Cememt any longer. I dont know much of the details other than what was announced by the auctioneer. He did tell me after the sale they were looking into other places, so that is all I can pass on. Surely some of the others on here know more than I.​

I took [email protected] 2 faverolles, not sure if he has more, but it would be worth an email. He ordered a bunch from Ideal and these were the extras. (I got two brabanters too) They look pretty healthy!

Yah ther will be another sale ... Peach's put alot in to this sale an ther's alot of poltic's going on i cant talk about,, People come to an auction an think man they got it going on im going to open a sale an get in on the action...IT DONT work like that ...Doc an Peach's had a good sale going because they wer great peep an had good help ....
Eric is a super good auctioner...An welcome every one in went out of ther way to make people happy...

Insects of all kinds are interesting, almost alien, some I hate worse then rodents (pest roaches, squash bugs, horn worms etc..) The insects I raise I raise for a purpose, good, nutritious protien for the girls I would never raise them if I didn't have the chickens to feed, but I would always photograph them. I would never raise for a pet an insect, snake or rodent. Some rodents are interesting in how or where they live, and as long as they stay where they belong I wouldn't hunt them down to kill them, but in my home and surroundings I view rodents like others view snakes, the only good one is a dead one.

I went to the sale at Cement last night.. Seen lot's of BYCer's ther all but AL .. It was sad for me to see E-cook an Barnswallow for the last time..Iv read ther story's for a long time on hear.
An it's like some one in your family moving away...
Seen lot's of duck's chicken's an more pigoun's than i had seen in a long time .. Pigoun's brot a good price for this time of yr ..An some BYCer brot some Gin fowl ,,
That brot 11 each i think about the size of a o.e bantum..I can say they scored on thim wen the guy said ill take thim all..
Thin i went to Edmond an bot some folk's out that had a small zoo...Got ther about 3 in the morn so the pfowl an pheasant's would stay cool..
Got some dove's pigoun's an sheep duck's an gease..
Have some peacock'seggs for free if some one wont's thim 5 was under a hen an 2 under another an a few in a nest Jcat u liv close call an i can meet u or some one ben out all day moving stuff num 9330518

Well I guess you could raise insects for food,I have chocolate covered ones! I think I will pass tho!lol Now I haven't heard of chocolate covered rodents ,but floured and fryed rabbit can't be beat!lol. The Amish raise the g.pigs for meat,I think I will pass on that too!lol. Maybe we both better just stick with our chickens!lol

Wow Michael ,now that sounds like something I would have fun doing,"buying out a small zoo"! What kind of pigeons did you get? And what kind of sheep? You'll have to give us a run down on what all there was. That sure sounded like fun. Good to hear there is a lot of pigeons moving around the state. I'd like to see a lot more pigeon growers.
