Ok. Chicken math has taken over my reasoning.
I was at the feed store today, and they JUST got in a shipment of White Leghorns.
Now I am starting to have this conversation with myself....
"All of my pullets are brown egg layers.
It would be nice to have some white eggs.
Maybe 2--3 leghorns would be nice.
But just because I get 2-3 chicks does not mean I will get 2-3 pullets. One could be a rooster.
Heck they all could be roosters!
To increase my odds, maybe I need 6 leghorn chicks. I can stew the roosters.
What if all 6 end up being roosters?
Ok, I need 10 chicks to make sure I get 2-3 pullets, and get some roosters for freezer camp.
What would my hubby say?
I could just tell him they are supplementary Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, that should satisfy him.
Ok, I NOW NEED 10 CHICKS!"
You all are a BAD INFLUENCE on ME because you taught me chicken math!!
