I would suspect one of the major three in your area. Coyote, Fox or Bobcat.
I know Edmond animal control says there are not Bobcats in the area but my FIL lives over on 74 and traps about 10 of them every year in close to Edmond. One that he was going to get mounted was so large that there were not forms made to fit it.

I remember reading there was one in Guthrie, OK on Sept 2nd that started at 10:00 AM. Does anyone know about it?I wrote it on my fridge a month ago but haven't heard anything since.

I have a friend that has some acreage in East Edmond.
Last year he killed over 20 bobcats and several fox and coyotes.
I'm 1/2 way between Edmond and Guthrie also. Bobcats??? I hear coyotes off in the distance all the time but I guess the coyotes don't realize all my (many
) dogs don't sleep outside at night. Might have to start booting a few out after midnight when it cools off.

Never put a single dog against a Coyote, always two or more so they have a better chance. We ran Black and Tans and trailhounds for many years hunting them.
Love to hear the Coyotes at night because after all, if the're howling they arn't hunting.

We had a single male dog up till this last year and he would take on and tackle 2-3 at a time but then again he is a 150lb + rotty, now we have the second dog, Bear, who is turning out to be much larger and they now team up on everything includes teh Coyotes. It is fun to watch them perk up and take off when the coyotes start to howl in the evening. Sometimes they will dissapear for the night and you will not hear a coyote for weeks.
I was baleing grass hay at night to get the moisture in it and there was a Coyote hunting rats and mice in the windrow just ahead of the tractor lights. We both worked that field till the early morning hours.
