***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Well, the wait is over Steph is officially an Aunt again. Her sister just had a baby girl, a bit under 4lbs but seems to be doing fine at this point. Now we can plan things without having to wonder when steph will have to leave at a moments notice..

Thank You.

OK, Just got done with Dinner and had a revelation.

NanaKat, would you mid sharing your recipe for your bread and Butter pickled Jalepeno's? I have been eating them on everything. so far they are great with burgers, hotdogs, bratwurst, knockwurst, Pork Chops, Pork Loin, fried or mashed potatoes. Even on sandwiches. I have decided that I would love to have the recipe because they are (as Tony the Tiger would say) "They're GGRRRREAT"

I have 2 or 3 modern game bantam cockerels that are FREE if anyone is interested. I have one BB Red, one Birchen and one Silver Blue. PM me if interested. I might even throw in a birchen modern hen if someone takes all 3 cockerels

. They are all in the 4-5 month old range. And for those of you that wont ever own one because of its looks, let me say this. I have had bantam cochins, silkies (cringes at the thought) oegb, sebrights, dutch bantams, NN, bantam cornish, oriental game birds, seramas....and my moderns are the tamest, friendliest, quickest to bond with you type of bird I have had bar NONE. So think about it

They will grow on you fast.

Oddly enough, OKC allows residents to have reptiles (snakes, lizards,) amphibians (frogs, salamanders) fish (many different kinds - fresh and saltwater,) not to mention cats, dogs and rodents (rats, rabbits, mice,) but doesn't allow chickens.

Edited to add to the list other kinds of animals OKC allows: birds (parakeets, finches, parrots, cockatoos, and many others,) just not chickens.
