***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Hello All!

I keep hearing about the Shawnee show in Oklahoma. I live in way out in the country in the SE Texas Panhandle and there aren't many people in my area that have, or even breed chickens like I do. My question is where is Shawnee located? If it isn't too far away from be then I might consider going. I live between Matador and Childress in a little place called Northfield. Thanks so much

That's one of the coolest looking birds I've ever seen. I'd want him for a lap chicken though and he probably wouldn't go for that.

Ksane - I spoke with the guy who hatched Hazaa and told him how much I admired the rooster. Before he left, the owner asked if I was still interested. He said he wanted me to have the roo and asked an insanely low price for him. I couldn't say no. I have had hens who would sit contentedly on my lap, but I don't think Hazaa will be that docile. He does come for treats, and he will allow me to pick him up without too much complaining, but when I put him down he seems glad to be on his own again.

For those BYC folks who keep Naked Necks, I'm going to need help finding some nice ladies for this new rooster.

Are you asking if I raise anything other than Seramas? If so, yes I do.

I have only Smooth, but will hopefully be getting a pair of Silkied in a couple of weeks.

Yes, my main boy, Little Man, is very fiesty. He will try to attack my feet through wire in their hutch, but when you pick him up he is a complete angel!
