Is this regular oxine or do you have the activation crystals. If you are activating the oxine it cannot be used around the birds. You spray, fog, or whatever... Allow to clear or dry then place the birds back in the area.

I have citric acid that I had used to make my own dough conditioner, it is food grade. Is that any different than the citric acid crystals??? Thinking fogging my chicken shed I use for my brooding might not be a bad ideal, for after each batch of birds is moved out.

if your food grade Citric acid is at least 99% pure it will work. You will use 3.25 oz of oxine, add 10 grams of citric acid, allow to sit 5 minutes mix in 1 gallon of water. Then spray the location. Make sure all litter, feeders, waterers, and birds are out of the area, you will want a respirator for your self as well.

Spraying the area with 1/2 oz per gallon will work well without activating the Oxine though and will pose no threat the product is great in an un-activated state and just as effective. I spray my pens everytime I clean them, incubator and hatcher every 4 weeks, eggs when colllected and before they are set, brooders every week when I move the chicks through them.

Yes they are! We call them chicken on a stick! The one's we have are pretty gentle. I have a male that doesn't know how to take a treat without jumping with his feet, it is too funny to watch.

Modern Game bantam. a very long legged game bantam, most are very calm, docile, easily handled. But the legs are prone to freezing due to length and such tight body feather.
