***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Wow this was my first earthquake being born and raised in okla.. it was kinda weird as i just happen to be in the bathroom doing my daily reading.lol.. when it hit . i had several thoughts going through my head but at least it didnt throw me off the pot...lol... now that might have been hard to explain...hope everyone came through it ok and didnt get any damage...

5.6 earthquake supposedly 4 miles east of Sparks, but felt like it was right here in Meeker. Now the largest in Okie history. We have broken glass all thru the house...several antique plates and many pictures off the wall, broken dishes in the china hutches, stuff off shelves above the toilets with stuff in the bowl lol.. One broken window so far that we can see. Will know more in the morning light.
We have had 9 after shocks so far since the first one about 10:50 pm.
Hope everyone is okay...things can be replaced.

you are so right- be careful with all that glass- will check around here tomorow- none of the animals reacted, which surprised me- they are recommending checking fuel lines etc

Sorry to hear about your damage NanaKat. Glad no one was hurt. I'll be rethinking placement of shelves and pictures tomorrow. The ones over the bed are gonna get screwed to the wall, and nothing that will fall off will be placed on them. No aftershocks here thank goodness. Guess if you're having aftershocks though, then that means the big one is over? I hope so.

Hey Carl i was looking at your webpage and saw your A Frame pens . Man i really like those i was wondering if you have the plans on building them as i think i want some . they look great and can be moved around and would be way cheaper for breeder groups than building coops and pens.. so if you dont mind i would really like to know more about how you built them as that would be so much better than trial and error on my part .. thanks

I've got 4 125 g fish tanks and an 8' 250 g tank & that was some scary stuff seeing things shake. The dogs went bonkers. I have a bad feeling about these and hope you all will be careful. NanaKat, I'm so scared for you!
Amy, every time I see your name I keep meaning to tell you I named my Faverolle pair Sheldon & Amy
