GotGame...don't you use Red Rooster game feed? What is the protein percentage on that mix? I bought a bag as S&S Feed to use as a substitute for scratch for my hens but there was no label for ingredients attached.

Buddy of mine is about to have a litter due of Jack Russell/Jagdterrier pups. They'll be small, and gritty. He uses em as bay dogs for hogs but I've seen em put in work on coon and squirrel. If you're interested, he gives em away. I get first pick of this litter but I can grab 2.

Oh man, i had a pair of jagds, one of them was my baby, she disappeared when she was ten, u can't ask for a better varmint dog. If I hadn't just gotten back a hound I used to own, i would love one of those. Does your buddy ever raise pure jagds?

Yeah he has a pair that he raises pups from. A brindle male and a white and brindle female. This litter coming from the JRT was an accident. I like em a little smaller, personally, which I'm hoping they'll be, so I can use em for ratters and rabbit dogs. I love watching them go to work in a big brush pile! No tellin what they come out dragging!

Brindle and white/brindle are not colors pure jagds come in, they must be crossed. I have heard jagd and jrt crossed make bad bad dudes. Nana, no I don't use red rooster feed, sorry.

They might not be. I know he gets a mint for em when he sells em to city folk. I prefer the JRTs, tho. Some guys cross them with rat terriers and run squirrels with em too..

Oh, and Red Rooster is 18%.
Black Rooster is 13%.

Jagds are either black and tan or rarely they can be chocolate and tan, like a doberman. Either way, they are awesome. I would love a jagd crossed with a feist from a strong tree dog family.

Who uses Red Rooster Game feed and can tell me the protein percentage. My feed store didn't attach an ingredient label to the bag. I got it to switch out from scratch to get away from milo, but the mix has milo in it. The hens love it and it does have a nice mix of grains and pellets.

Red Rooster has both also. Since there was no ingredient tag...I'm at a loss too. Maybe someone will post who knows about the feed mix.
