***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Thank you. He's still struggling. First the kidney surgery, then pneumonia, then heart irregularities, and now he's got a UTI. He does not want to go back to the hospital. I'll give him the drawing on Christmas day with a big hug and a wish that he recover completely. He needs to eat better and quit being cranky. If you look in the dictionary you'll find his photograph next to the word curmudgeon. If you're lurking, "Love you Dad!" It's unlikely that he's trolling a chicken thread because there's always a game on TV (even if it's soccer in Argentina).

My Grandfather was the epitomy of the character Archie Bunker, but not as sweet!!!!! My name for him my entire life from the moment I could speak was grumps which is soooooo ironic b/c I started calling him that looooooooong before I ever knew the word grumpy or what it meant.

I doubt it's an ear infection. Not when there's so many other things that can go wrong. Wry neck doesn't occur only because of a vitamin deficiency. Just like seizures don't occur only from epilepsy. The term 'wry neck' is just a symptom, not a disease in itself. It certainly seems that Silkies and Polish are extra prone to it.
I didn't realize Flo was a Partridge, that's the same color as one of the new girls I got from Betsy. OMG I love these girls

Nicely done! Good contrast of texture and value.

I always enjoyed drawing more than painting.

have you tried turning it upside down, that way you can spot things right off- the other thing which i think you have already done is darken the shadows, and the further away an object is the less defined, which gives the illusion of distance- things i am sure you all ready know...LOL!

love the composition

What kind are the babies? They look like Silkie babies. I've got all 8 of my Silkie girls together now in an 8x8 pen. How come you can introduce new Silkie girls without a single cross word and no screaming? Yet trying to introduce a new chicken into the layer's yard is a brawl. And it's usually the new chickens doing most the brawling lol My All-Girl Silkie pen is so calm and peaceful and quiet, it's my Diva Pen. I'm going to hand paint a sign that says "No Boys Allowed!"
