Evening Okies!
I had a wonderful visit with Pepper48 98 today. He's got some amazing Cornish. I'm borrowing a few pullets and a couple roosters to put some serious weight into my meaty population. The pullets were so much fun to watch when I introduced them to their new coop/run area. They ate some grass, dug for bugs, snoozed in the sun, dust bathed inside the coop in the wood shavings, and then spent the rest of the afternoon in the run scoping out the Light Sussex in the next pen.
Charley - These girls are gorgeous. They are going to add pounds and inches to my meaty breeding stock.
These girls loooooove mealworms. I had my camera in my right hand and a brown paper bag with some meal worms in my left. I shook the bag, got their attention, and then flipped the contents of the bag into the grass. The WLR pullet nearly knocked me down!
