You may be right. But if it makes you feel any better I know I am up to date on my shots. I aint so sure of Teach

lol! You hold him down and I'll get the syringes!

We may be better off crushing up pills and putting it in his food. He might hurt us if we went your route

Good morning Okies!

Yay Grace! It's great to hear from you - congratulations on the job and the move.

Muesky - have fun with your daughter!

MJ - I think you're doing the right thing - have a safe trip.

Poco - I love your granddaughter's science project idea - excellent! Your mother sounds like mine - I can't keep her at home. (My mom is currently in Omaha with Little Brother and his family, then she will go to Corpus Christi to visit other family before she gets back home to Denton after the New Year)

As for old*cowboy & Teach, I think the "sprinkling sedative on food" idea has the highest probability of success.

Ksane - glad your son is home for Christmas.

NanaKat - you are our official Earthquake Monitor!

The chickens were waiting for me to open their run when I got out there this morning. I just went out a few minutes ago and sprinkled some DE over the bedding in the hen house. One of the Light Sussex was on the nest and gave me the stink-eye while I was in there...

MJgigax said "We are leaving tomorrow for Missippi to visit with my DH's Dad. Not such a fun trip; DFL has never been much of a part of DH's life, he now has dementia and we are staying with relatives we don't really know. It is one of theose "need-to" trips."

Sometimes those can be rewarding trips. You might be able to gather some ancestry information that won't be available in a few years. Even with dementia, your FIL may remember tidbits of information that will make some things more clear. Getting him to talk about what he does remember from his past, growing up, his parents, will give fullness to memories your husband has of his family, grandparents, etc. Take notes or a tape recorder.
Speaking from experience, there are lots of holes in our family history that questions asked at the right time would have made my search much easier....and I asked a lot of questions...just not soon enough.
