Just taking a stab at it, but the gold colored ones look possibly like New Hampshire reds.
That would be cool! Those are beautiful birds! I'm afraid the pics I posted are a bit deceiving as far as color goes. They are more of a yellow than red. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for NH Reds though!

Buff orpingtons are pretty too! lol I don't doubt the "boy" is a different breed... he certainly doesn't look like the others, but he came out of the same batch of chicks, so he SHOULD be the same breed... that's why I thought maybe he was just a poor example of an orloff. There are certainly no guarantees when you buy some chicks at the feed store.
Thanks for the compliment on the chickens, these are mostly just the feed store chicks I bought.

My first chickens were feed store birds and they are very productive egg producers. They were/are red sex-links and black Minorcas. Only have one Minorca now since her hatch mate flew the coop when she was young. Feed stores seem to keep a variety of breeds and you don't always get what's marked on the bin as the breed, though. Part of the fun, I guess, is waiting to see what you end up with. Your flock is colorful!

I certainly can't complain about my hens. I have 6 that are an egg laying hybrid as near as I can tell. I bought them this spring as young hens and they laid like troopers through the heat, and haven't missed a lick since it got cold. I almost always get at least 5 eggs/day and very often there's 6. I've become quite creative with my egg recipes.
Went to bed at 10, still cant go to sleep. and of course nothing on tv. To dark to go out to the chickens. Oh well always some reading on here. One of my blue NN pullets started to lay this week. Huge eggs for such a young pullet. I love these NNs. I need to find me some more young hens if anyone out there needs to part with some.
Good Morning everyone~ I have to say I was really hard on Lil'Sooner yesterday & I shouldn't have been. When I got home she had got all her birds really & had even trimmed beaks & nails. She didn't do bad for her first time.
