Update on the babies. The last two are black chipmunks which means they will be SLW. While fully fluffed now, they are neither as strong as the first three and one, the last to zip may not make it. I'll check back later. The first three have been peeping and peeking out from under Lucie....so cute!
Checked with my MIL on the four legged chick. She said she doesn't every remember having anything like that before...then she said when an egg didn't hatch under a broodie, they tossed them without ever checking the contents. My Mom was a science teacher...learned early to seek answers. The chick is in a jar with alcohol..only preservative I had on hand...thought some science oriented person might want it for something.
Good evening for TV: NCIS, NCIS LA and Unforgetable are all new episodes.
Have eggs coming from Iowa from an auc tion. Hope they arrive tomorrow...sure want to get them to Carl...More Babies!!!

I have crossed Welsummers and Cuckoo Marans several times and I have yet to get any Crele colored offspring.
the First generation will not be correct, especially if teh barred male is used. I do not beleive cockoo works the same as barred anyway.
No any patridge rooster will work, so long as the breed you use has traits you want to keep in the resulting birds, I don't know anything about that breed.

It is healing fine. The stitches were supposed to dissolve and hadn't yet. It stayed closed, so I'm not worried about it.
In 2 months, I had 5 cysts appear on my scalp. I hadn't changed any products that I was using. The doctor was unsure as to what was causing them. They are very small, pea sized at most. We decided to remove the largest one to run some tests. I ended up with an incision that was only about 1/2", 2 stitches and a very large headache for a few days. I feel fine now, other than the slight pain on my head. I will get the test results on Thursday afternoon.

Nana I heard of a fella that bred a chicken with 3 legs cause him his wife and child all liked the dark meat they never got to eat any of them as they were much to fast to catch
remember my post about my hen passing that weird looking stuff?? well, she is now lethargic, eating a little but fluffed up, no respiration things going on- any ideas? clear eyes ....
