I did just figure out that if you hover over the how long ago area it does give the date and time the post was made LOL I'm learning a bit at a time

Very pretty!

@ Betsy, I don't think the page settings can be changed. It does take a bit of getting use to but I think the set up is much better. Hope you are doing well with your knee replacement.

@ Nana, I hate tax time. It really has me bogged down at work & now I get to start my personal!

@ Carl, I'm sure you will have your supplies knocked out in time to make more. I have been hoarding my jelly but the boy found it so that won't last long. I will be on the look out for a pressure canner. I have what I need otherwise. I hope my garden does alot better this year. You inspired me to start a tomato plant & pepper plant since I have these lovely french doors that I don't open in the winter.

Plant plenty of tomatoes, I have my grandmothers recipe for tomatoe preserves. Wait till you try them..

I already have plants going... and wil be ready to go outside when teh fear of frost of is gone.. I will plant more once we get closer to the time too. There wil be alot of sweet corn but I am going to stagger the plantings in 2 week increments so I do not have to shuck a truck load at once. I am also thinking a drip irrigation system to run everyother day from midnight till 2 am on a timer. That way if we get rain I can turn it off and if there is no rain the plants will still benefit from teh watering. I'm determined this year to make this work out.

Alright, keep sharing the new stuff so we can all figure out to best use this format. I do liek it better but it nice to know some of the tricks.

I have always (on the old format and on this one) just bookmarked this page. Then when I get back on and get caught up reading, bookmark the page I finished reading. My computer then says already bookmarked, delete previous. I click yes and all is good. That has always been how I did it. The only difference is now I have several short pages to catch up on instead of one or two long ones.

I look forward to the recipe as long as I can do it without a pressure canner. I think I will also borrow your idea of planting corn every two weeks. I think I will also consider doing this for other stuff like onions & lettuce. I am also planning to find one of me themomitors to put in the attic to see how cold it gets up there. I went up the other day & it was nice & cool but not freezing.....so that got me to thinking.....

Any thoughts?

at the uppper left you can click new post since I have been here & it will take you to the last page you read before you left. I used it when I got home & it kept the last page from when I left from work.

Thanks Sooner and I understand and know how to do that. But still have to have something bookmarked to get to BYC. I use the OKIES page as my start site, then when I get caught up on it I go beyound the boundries of the Okies.

What kind of Tomatoes do you plant for early production. I hope to get some early producers, mid producers and some late producers this year. Now that I have room plan on planting several of each this year. Corn, peppers, okra, cantalopes and melons. Maybe some other stuff too. It looks good on paper at least. I also plan on a drip line. Had a guy tell me the other night at the ballgame here in town that he makes his own drip system and the way he described it, would put out about a gallon per tomato plant in about 20 minutes. He is supposed to be bringing by the supply catalog where I can order materials. Like I said, it all looks good on paper, some days it is all I can do to take care of my chickens.
