***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Some years ago there was talk of placing unmanned automatic radar setups along side the highways around the state and they changed their minds about the project when it was pointed out how many things you can find along the states roads that aren't full of bullet holes....

That would be like those robotic deer that they use to catch poachers. Every now and then they get shot up too.

LOVED the Dr. Demento show! Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, ..... was my favorite song. It was also on the Monty Python show. Dr. Demento used to come on the radio here in the evenings. I had a transistor radio (back when FM was just coming into vogue) and listened to the show when it was on. I want to say Saturday or Sunday evenings, not sure though. His signature sign-on : and this is Dr. Dementooooooooo......! Funny stuff - takes me back a ways...

I liked "Bulbous Boufant" and that fish song.

Joe here is a pair that shows the Columbian pattern. If the rooster wasn't so brassy he would have looked a lot better.

Mike bought the BR Roo and I talked him outta it LOL I had to put my new hens in there new coop last night but they stayed in just fine and tonight they didn't need any help at all they seem to be making themselves right at home and even gifted me 2 eggs so far I would have liked to have put them in the bator since they are from a different Roo than one I have but both were cracked since I didn't have a nest box set in for them yet they did what they had to do and tomorrow they have more choices LOL




No kidding there LOL, First time I went to Blanchard auction we used the GPS and no matter how we put in the address it took us north of Hwy 62 but once I headed south of the Hwy I went right to it.

Yesterday some very bright person shot a tank battery West of Kingfisher and it blew the top off of one of the tanks. It was 14 miles West of where we live and it rattled this ol' trailer pretty good.

Shouldn't be too hard to find whomever it was that shot it. I imagine they are talking loudly while shopping for new windows in whatever they were driving!

Wayne you may have something with the common pigeons. I had several as a kid. It would be nice to just raise pigeons again and not worry about standards etc. Several years ago my son in law and I was in the pigeon trapping business. We caught several thousand over a couple year period. I was shocked at all the color mutations we come across. Was not uncommon to run across booted ones too. Keep me posted how your new breed comes along.

NNbreeder, I really like that pen the birds are in. I over-think things waaaaay too much and have wracking my brain trying to come up with an easy to make permanent pen for these ornery OEGBs. That pen is just what I'm going to make.
