I am ready to be out of here~ I'm ready for the weekend to rest & relax.

Any place good to eat by you guys?

thats interesting- since that is true with mine, the ones that are confined have the issues.... maybe the trick to is allowing them some free range time? i do that with the layer flock, an the mixed banties, but the silkies and seramas of course haven't had that opportunity

It could help but you now have them & no amount of free range is going to help, you have to treat for them to get rid of them.

Cowboy, I don't have an answer for you other than free range but you will still have things that happen. Wood ash is what my birds seem to like.

I have a question on the lice and mite issue. If a person wanted to stay all natural or organic lets say. What measures do you recommend then?

Wood ash, or Pot ash in dusting areas helps.. dandelion greens are suposed to help. I have never really tried teh all natural route. Pumpkin and tobbaco as well. I may still have soem tobbaco seeds if you want to try that, its nicotine that does it but it comes from the tobbaco.

I love Canning Granny~

A waitress is explaining to a guest in the restaurant that the specialty of the day is calf tongue in beautiful port wine sauce. The guest shakes his head and says, “I don’t want anything that comes from an animal’s mouth, just give me some eggs.”
