***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Guy,
I certianly hope you like Black Birds.. because you got a bunch of them... I did see 2 Blue NN's though.. They must hatch hungry... they're eating the egg shells..
Your hatch is almost done and NanaKat's cochins are just starting to Pip.

What day were the scheduled to hatch. Black is cool.

Deanne, yes-if she's sitting on the eggs and growled at you over them she's claimed them. That's great! (like I would know lol! but I read a lot-haha)
I'd definitely keep her separate from the others while she's with the babies, too.

Sounds like you did really good, now the babies won't get smashed! She will raise them,

Being a newbie to all this I have an opinion on this. If I buy a bird from someone I am not expecting show quality, because I don't know what to look for anyway. If I were looking for show quality then I would find somebody I am pretty sure I can trust to help me pick it out. If I pay a little bit more for a bird it will be because I personally think it will be worth it. The only time I think it would make me seriously upset would be if a child were trying to get into showing and got taken advantage of. I understand why it makes you angry. There are mostly good honest people in this chicken business and jerks make it difficult for everybody. It's just like anything else. Do your homework. You are a good, honest person, and that's why it makes you upset.

your gonnagive me the big head if your not careful, and it's already big enough!

if i , or someone that knows bette,r go out and by junk birds, we deserve what ever we get!

but when i see someone that i am sure is trying to decieve new folks i do get upset.
i have seen a lot of people that want to show birds get discouraged or just quit because someone sold them crap birds.
it is worse when it comes to pigeons, so many more colors and varieties than in chickens. and so many people selling them that actually have no idea what they have.

There's hope for me with my little foam incubator yet. Somehow I've managed to get attached to the 4 EGGS in this little test hatch. How foolish does a woman have to be to get attached to EGGS??
(Leave it, Jim.....)

i'm trying mitzi, i realy am trying hard, but sometimes it is just so,,,, so,,,,,,,, so,,,,,,,,,,,hard to do

Carl, those boys when they become teenagers they aren't so keen on playing in the dirt as they are chasing girls. Mine spends all his time at school or at work. When he is off he is chasing or sleeping.

There is no way I could plant what you are talking about!

It is teh youngest Brandon... He has things figured out fairly well, he knows the girls all too well, infact I had to remind him that you were a friend so be on his best behavior with Madison coming over with you the other day.. he nows that girls will cost him money with movies, dinner etc.. He makes his own to spend his own and is often in the mix with several young but older girls.. Hard to tell a 14 yr old boy that he needs steer clear of the 16-17 yr old high school girls that want to go out with him.
Brandon will see to it that they stay together and makes him some $$
