My wife has put her foot down. She claims we have too many dogs. Says either some of the dogs go, or she does.

I'm trying to decide.

It was unintentional b/c I didn't plan on doing it until I started cleaning up the back yard, then got to thinking of all the wood we keep meaning to haul off that is all rotted. We can't burn being in town and we never seem to get around to hauling it off. So I am stacking it and as I have time and opportunity I'll cover w/ dirt, may take me a year or so though.

thats neat. i dont have a place for it, but if you do i think that will be a real deal.

So, anybody want some good Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd adult males that are good with chickens and goats? They are protective and love to snack on possums, raccoons and such.

This morning I found another baby Serama hatched. That's four all together now. There are a few more eggs that look like they could hatch shortly, too, so maybe I'll get to find some more babies in the next week or so. The hen who's taking care of the other three took this newest one under her as if it was her own. The others that are a few days old now look bigger already than the newly hatched one. It's amazing how quickly they grow.

those poor poor chickens, how can you treat them like that. making them live in such squaller! for heavans sake, get those birds in the house!

Sorry my text doesn't seem to be showing up. Does anybody have any ideas of anything else I need for the chicken sauna? They really seem to like it. The pics are fuzzy because it was getting dark.

What is your secret? None of my girls seem interested in sitting a nest. I want to set some eggs the old fashion way but you have to have a broody to do that, lol. I even put some of those ceramic eggs from the feed store in the laying hen coop to try to inspire one of them to set. No luck yet after 3 weeks.
