***OKIES in the BYC III ***

Okay, who was it sold me this gorgeous girl again? I just wanted to say thanks because she was so well fed and well taken care of before I got her. She is one determined girl. I put her on the nest on Friday and she has barely eaten or drunk anything, and finally today I physically took her away from the eggs so she would go poo. (HAZMAT TIME!) Anyway, I love, love, love her. Thanks.

Nanakat, she has clean legs, and they are almost green colored. Here is a more closeup shot of her head. I love the spots around her eyes, but at some angles they make her look like she's sitting with them closed. Worried me a time or two until I figured out it was her coloring and not that she was ill!

Whatever she is, I likes her!!!!

Lynn,

How are you?

yeah, I have a problem area way out back that is overgrown with weeds. I have a hen house that I can convert easily enough for a pair of goats and I need their help with the weeds. If you don't think they'll be an escape risk, I think I might look for a pair pygmies. Do you know who might have some for sale at a reasonable price?

Hey Stimpy, you might talk to Gerald and Carla, didn't they have the Fainting Goats! Maybe you could just barrow a couple of weathers for a while, if you do get goats, I will warn you do not feed them scratch grains, we lost three young billies one year when we had about 40 Pygmy's, the vet said it is from eating grain, he recommend the medicated goat pellets, it has the stuff in it to help keep them from forming stones in their kidneys I believe and stopping them up so they can't urinate, they virtually drown them selves as they can't urinate. After we went to the medicated goat pellets and did not over feed them we didn't loose any more goats, I like the Pygmies, my Fainters are about as small as most Pygmies and they are just as curious, if there is a hole they can get their head through the body will follow it!!! so what kind of eggs you hatching oakieridge?
Since getting our big redwood incubator up and running we have been hatching everything I can find, lol. We have Marans in Splash, FBCM, Golden Salmon, French Cukoo, then we have Buff Orphington, Black Australorp, Guineas, I am hatching some Splash marans roo/blue andelusion hen eggs can't wait to see how those turn out. Hatched some EE eggs from a friend that are super cute babies! Hatched some RIR eggs from auction (again not all were RIR some hatched out black!LOL), only thing I didn't find before I set my last eggs were Barred Rocks and some Herritage RIR eggs. Guess I will wait until fall to work on those, lol. Hubby is amazed at our hatch rates with this new incubator! We are getting about 85-90% out of our viable eggs. I am sooooo looking forward to fall hatches now but at the same time I am looking forward to the brooders in the house being empty for a short time.

let me know what gose on with the splash think i may have a hankering for a few
where in lincoln county are you?
I have some extras, we live just north of Mcloud so probably close enough to feed that hankering!
