***OKIES in the BYC III ***

A lot of hail and winds 40+ here East of Kingfisher, Hail is from pea to quarter size and really hitting hard too.

Ya'll East be wary of these storms, they will probably grow through the evening.

Here are a couple pics of my LF Buff cochins. I'm happy with their foot feathering!

Also here are pics of the little OEs or Ameraucanas. The 2 Blues are different shades of blue, one is a bit "browner".

Traci I vote coral blue then. I can't even remember what all colors you got from DD, but I do remember you got an assortment. The dots will disappear on the coral blues when they get there real feathers in. They may have a few dots, but won't have many.
MJ they do have nice feathering on their feet. The girls are at war over whose birds they are going to be. Thanks so much for the eggs. Don't think the girls have ever asked for Cochins but now they both love them. At least they are the favorite of today.

starting to sprinkle and thunder here. Hope we get lots of rain. Of course I watered the garden today because I didn't realize it was supposed to rain. Guess it pays to watch the TV every once in a while, lol. Well back to the working world tomorrow, only two days this week since I am taking Thursday off.

and here are a few pic from my homoziguse NNs and my houdan cross they are nicely beerded and have more crest than i expected i will be breeding the F1 pullets back to the motteled houdan roo and 50% of the F2s will be naked necked motteled houdans i call them HOODA NAKED

Okay, now that is cute! I want one!

Mitzi, that pen is awesome!!!! I love how you are building those. Those are some lucky birds! The hoop houses I am building take 4- 2x6x8s, two livestock panels (I got ours at Atwoods they were bent up on the edges so they gave me 10% off), misc. 2x4's to frame in the door, we used a 9'x 4' piece of pressboard for the fronts you could cover this in wire instead, and your choice of wire to cover it all in. Oh and a tarp, I forgot the tarp so had to stop at Lowes today on my way home and get one, I use the 9x12 one so that it leaves parts of the bottom uncovered for airflow. Then we used cedar branches inside for roosts. It took us a day to build it from start to finish.

Ocean, sorry about the sting of badluck lately, hope your little one turns up and you find a home for the dane.

Off to catch up on about 10 pages of posts.

Thanks. He's not exactly small, he's about two foot long and about 60-70 lbs :p I mean it's not like people are gonna pass him by thinking he's wild.
