Good Morning Okie friends~

Just taking a few minutes to give a big pat on the back to Coral! You have no ideal what it takes to put something together like this, it is a time consuming, labor intensive process. You did a great job & you deserve to be congratulated. There are always bumps in the road when you put an event together~ you did a great job. I won't comment on anyone that has negative things to say because if they aren't willing to put the time & effort into making an event they keep it to them self's.
A Hearty second to Sooner's comment.
I couldn't make the event due to prior commitments but I was there in spirit for what that is worth.
I know Coral did all she could do and from what I have read, aside from a few glitches, the event went well.
I have helped organize five POOPS events. None have been easy. It is a very stressful thing to stick your neck out
with people depending on you and not know if everything will work out.
You learn from the experience, try to minimize the trouble areas and move on.
Good job Coral!

MommaPoppyBee and Cathie-my very 1st thought when I read it was that someone was mad at them and trying to get back at them.
It remains to be seen whether it's true or not but I think we should give them the benefit of the doubt until we know for sure. If it's not true it's going to do a lot of damage to them.

They have a goat sale in Perry at the fairgrounds on Thur eve, and I think the goat sale on hiway 33 just west of Perkins about 3 or 4 miles is on the first and third Sat of the month, always lots of goats there and I think it starts at 7pm, not been in a while, if you want to go and want company holler at me, i'll meet you there!!! Lynn
thanks for the offer but it will have to be about a month before i can afford to go to a sell, lots of bills and trying to do some coop work, lol

We need to be very careful what we post about the animal cruelty situation.
I saw the story about it on one OKC news station.
To be clear only one of the men that runs the auction is involved and I am not sure if he is the principle owner, a partner or what.
So before we jump the gun and ignite a firestorm, lets see what all comes from the initial report.
There are innocent people involved in the auction that aren't involved in this case and they don't to need to be vilified.
I will try to find out more information because like I said, I only saw the short report last night.

Someone has flagged it for removal so MommaPoppyBee-could you edit your post so that the actual posting doesn't show? There's no sense people reading it further and being confused or blaming the wrong auction people. I've never been to that auction and I'm not the one that flagged it FWIW.

I know nothing about the story or the people involved, but have seen first hand (well a close second hand) news stories get twisted beyond belief. Things that I had personal knowledge of what actually happened, then listened to the news stories and mostly the aftermath and known none of it was true. Anyway the news is not above sensationalizing for ratings and telling partial stories for sure, and then the places people take it after the news gets through can be no where near the truth.

That is why I posted I don't want their name run in the ground if it isn't true. If it is that is sad but if not then it needed to be removed. Even if he is a partner that doesn't make the whole auction bad. I love our auctions and would miss it dearly if they had to close.

sorry i meant no harm was asked if there was any info and posted what i had found. I have removed the details and left a post to state that it has been cleaned. Please for give me.
