Whenever I do garden work in the summer I always do it w/ a hose, makes it so much more comfortable.
I have 5 boys that need to be sent to freezer camp. It will be my first to do w/o any ulterier motives (culling for injury) it is going to test my resolve to do it to perfectly healthy boys. But at least I have a couple under my belt now.
Jcatblum - thank you for the information about a "deal" on Groupon for a good price on Vista Printing. I never realized that you could do essentially a nationwide Groupon review - so never would have found that Vista Printing deal in the Chicago Groupons.
I loved all the pictures, Bill-thank youMitzi I took a few pic's this evening, out of all the ones I have from around the same hatch as yours I think all are pullets but one, I have more cockerels in the other hatches I think, but, this set is the oldest I have left and looks to me like it's getting easy to tell them apart but I could be wrong LOL
Cockerel left Pullet right

we did show and continue to just re-focused to solely bantams drastically cut the feed bill and no more waiting 2 years to pick breeder birds. We selected hard for size, type, feather quality and laying traits. Longeveity of lay and winter laying habits as well. We sold out this past spring and Nanakat has the breeders as well as several of the better young birds.I don't think in all these years I have ever seen a columbian Wyandotte. For years all I ever saw was silver laced and white in LF. I used to have columbian bantam Wyandottes many years ago. Did you ever show them and how did they do for you.
