***OKIES in the BYC III ***

She looks like a Splash Polish sort of, Tony. She's sure pretty. If you find yourself in need of a Spitzhauben boy I have one for you lol
I'll get a decent picture of mine a little later when I let them out for the day so you can see what they look like.
she is not 100 per cent polish that is for sure the nose is not right and the crest is kind of small could be a mix of some sort. Or dose it have feathered feet or more than 4 toes if it dose it could be a sultan or a houdan? or maybe a Crevecoeurs i have never seen one but i have polish she is not one.

Oh my God, I didn't know that. That poor girl and her family :-(

Ksane how long have you had them??? They are a skinny bird by design & that is a lot of treatment.
I've had them a couple months, they were pooping out roundworms in piles when I got them so I dewormed with Valbazen then did 2 follow-ups instead of just 1. They were skeleton thin not just normal thin. I couldn't have found any muscle to do an injection if I'd needed to. The lady's got thousands of birds so I figured coccidia was a gimme, that's why I treated for that. They've gained weight and eat Nutrena All Flock like little ponies. I was surprised to lose one.

. Maybe if I build another pen but he won't help with anymore pen building (at least not willingly, haha). Here I thought our little silkie chick was a cutie but that polish chick is sooo sweet!

Polish, when handled often when young become extremely friendly and precocious. We had two White Crested Blues named Frick and Frack. One turned out to be a hen so when I gave them to my neighbor, they named them Fluff and Guffy. Guffy would ride on the tractor and follow the husband all around the place. Fluff loved to strike off on her own to freerange in the front yard away from all the other hens. But if the wife or grandchildren appeared, she would run to them and beg to be picked up by standing on their feet.
