I wish I could of had the lythotripsy instead of a shunt put in. I feel for your husband, mine was the same size and was shutting down the kidney it was lodged in. So in goes the stent for about 4 weeks. They did manage to "pull" the stone out.

They put the stent in first and then about a week later the lithotripsy was scheduled. I don't think my husband expected the surgery to be so painful. The stent is put in after the surgery too and he had to leave it in place for a week. He didn't like removal of the stent either...totally freaked him out.

Mine was put in after they let me try to pass that sucker for a few days. Guess they figured I had insurance lets run up the bill lol. I was suppose to have the stent for about 2 weeks but it snowed toward the end of Nov when i was scheduled for the removal. So i wound up going about 4 weeks with it in. Thank gawd i was sleep for it going in an coming out. But you definetly know someting aint right for a few hours afterwards lol.

Ronnie, for removal they told Robert to cough and close his eyes... NO drugs. He sure wish he had, they just yanked the cord.. POOR guy I felt so bad for him. His DR is old school and is very hesitant to medicate because of peoples propensity to get hooked.. WELL no kidding you let someone sit with a stone for 4 weeks, yeah I'd be hooked on meds too.

Andi thats insane. One of the Assistant Managers at work had the same thing as your husband. I guess im lucky they put me under for the whole ordeal. Both of mine was done at hillcrest and southcrest in Tulsa.

His Dr. was at St Francis. I couldn't imagine why they wouldn't just give him valium or or something to calm him down. He was a wreck for several days.

Al good luck on the garden. I planted squash and maters a few weeks ago and they were looking pretty yellow and now they are greening up a bit. All of this sunshine has them confused.

Have a great day all... I am getting my house cleaned. I have been neglecting it because I wanted to play outside with my chicks and kids.
My husband and I are going to the Wayman Tisdale memorial concert tonight and I am looking forward to a date with my favorite guy. Since we had children we don't do this very often.

Have a great day Okies, God Bless!

Hello all - I'm going to force myself to go to the Library today to work. If I stay here I'll find other things to do - sit out with the clucks, play with kittens, etc. I am way behind and need to buckle down.

Luvs - hope Lynn recovers and gets to keep all his parts. I'm so sorry we all thought it was a little copperhead - pygmy rattler is way worse - I hope he comes home with just a little scar and a big story to tell.

Andi!! You go girl! - I saw that sale ad yesterday. Did you clean out Sapulpa or Sand Springs or both?

Have a great day everyone!
